FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE Combustible.
NO open flames.
Powder, alcohol-resistant foam, water spray, carbon dioxide.
EXPLOSION Above 99░C explosive vapour/air mixtures may be formed.
Above 99░C use a closed system, ventilation.
In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water.
EXPOSURE
STRICT HYGIENE!

  • INHALATION

  • Ventilation.
    Fresh air, rest.
  • SKIN

  • Protective gloves.
Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower.
  • EYES
  • Redness. Pain.
    Safety spectacles.
First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION

  • Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
    Rinse mouth.
SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
Collect leaking and spilled liquid in sealable containers as far as possible. Wash away spilled liquid with plenty of water.
See Chemical Dangers. Dry. Well closed. Ventilation along the floor.

    PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
    COLOURLESS, ODOURLESS, HYGROSCOPIC, VISCOUS LIQUID

    PHYSICAL DANGERS:
The vapour is heavier than air.

    CHEMICAL DANGERS:
Reacts with strong oxidants, causing fire hazard.

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
    TLV not established.

    ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its vapour and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
A harmful contamination of the air will not or will only very slowly be reached on evaporation of this substance at 20░C.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
    The substance irritates the eyes.

EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
Repeated or prolonged contact may cause skin sensitization.
